Personality wise, Destin can be your best friend or your local monster. On one hand he's soft hearted and loyal like any other dog around. But on the other hand, he's got a grudge held on a certain color, and often shows this only around his most closest friends. (Well, atleast to Light Blue.) He prefers to keep up his appearance by being the normal, innocent color he is... but his fiery overtones often make him out to be blunt or just plain stupid.
As for clothing, he's simple. Usually seen in a school type uniform, or the casual tshirt-jeans get up with some spare paint splatters from his job of the moment. However, he's a hopeless raver! When the time to mosh comes, his appearance goes from normal, to kandii in a few seconds. (Though he usually only goes with Gaz), he likes the neons and glow of the blacklight enabled clothing.

The story of the young color is completely different, however, he was to be a knight in shining armor... but turned to be the merchant below the world. Childhood was a memory of clearer skies to Destin; There was little he didn't have and alot he dreamed he had. Since he and his best mate Gaz were born on the same day, and raised together... his world revolved around his best friend. Sure, he was young and didn't know right from wrong... but he would go out of his way to see to it Gaz was smiling. (That was for awhile anyways.) Once he saw his brother Brown (David) was pretty headover heels for Gaz's older brother Ian, he become wary of the sight of the two. Maybe it just didn't quite click in his mind, because he was hightailing Pink everywhere she went.
Of course, around his and Gaz's nineth birthday, the tides turned. While the day was meant to be spent racing boats in the pond, it was spent alone. The young inu didn't know if he'd been forgotten... or just plainly been told to beat it. Either way, the day was spent alone. That massive body of water seemed endless to his crimson eyes as he waited... and waited... and waited... until the sky was full of stars and the moon shone true. Fear implanted in his being as he wandered back home, only paying a sighing glance to the Obsidian's house next door. There was a feel of betrayal in his heart, and flame in his eyes until he'd slunk into the house and wandered into his bedroom. (Being the tight wove neighborhood it was, his and Gaz's windows were side-by-side to allow petty chitchat if it was raining.) But the light in the opposite house was off... and the purple illumination from Gaz's lamp wasn't there... like no one was home.
Destin cringed to the idea that someone might take his only friend... but he stayed strong. Finally, one lone day he saw whom had replaced him. The idea behind it made his stomach churn, a primary. Not any primary, but a complement color. And it burnt his fuse to the point it was unexistant. All he wanted was to blow bubbles and doodle on the sidewalk with his so-called best friend. But... there was Kiro. It was like Purple never had time for the fellow secondary, everything revolved around Indigo and Jaune. This completely turned Orange's personality from betrayed to demented. He became a trouble maker, breaking windows, slashing tires, stealing bikes... robbing houses... he didn't care. Anything to fill that void made his mind settle.
A couple more years passed, but then... he remembered nothing. The inu found himself with his siblings and parents with no knowledge of what or where they were. No longer was he a color, but just Destin Nikon; but he didn't even know that. He couldn't remember any of those feelings of betrayal, regret, pain that he had before. Because he simply did not remember why they were there... so they passed. He wandered the streets seeking something to help him rid himself of that static in his head. With every rattle he heard, he seeked out more answers. But finally, a family roadtrip brought him face to face with a token of film. He'd simply entered some sleazy bar by his lonesome... and looked to the counter.
There, stood the purple haired figure that made his entire mind turn back. Like a broken clock, every image... every emotion... every single memory of blowing bubbles by the lake to reading in the bushes came back. Once more, he was Orange, not just another Nikon. With glee filled eyes he hurried to the counter where the other male was and took his seat. Once he finally got a glance from the other male, something must have clicked. He was addressed, greeted, and blessed for being back. Of course, the two colors didn't just sit in some bar sorrounded by normals, they stood outside and caught back up. To his surprise, Gaz was an empty book on most of his childhood.. and Destin couldn't have been happier.
Everytime he mentioned the name, Gaz just stared emptily... his mind was getting more and more used to the idea there probably wasn't a spectrum anymore. That's when he saw WHO his childhood friend was with... and perhaps his entire mindset changed. After an hour of talking, a neon haired twin to Gaz simply strutted up and introduced himself as Zag. Getting only a starstruck gaze and a few hello's. Of course, he'd known of Zag before... but seeing him was completely different. It was humanly disturbing to see the leather clad, stitched like a ragdoll being before him. Something put him off from that idea as they all said their goodbyes. Perhaps explaining to the other's about what they were was the hardest when everyone was back in the right mind frames. Because after they were back in the spectrum, more colors were showing up.
Of course, after a simple amount of two months... that damned Primary was seen wandering a nearby town near the Greyscape Park. Destin kept his distance, to avoid causing anymore memories to come back... but he never expected his only day off work to be greeted with Gaz at his front door. (By now they were both barely passed 19.) But standing WITH Gaz, is what may have triggered that grunge to come back. There was that god forsaken Primary and all his sunny glow. Destin let this go, sure Gaz's old friend was back... but that's all he ever expected. Finally, he got some time in with Purple, it may have only been raving or going to concert halls... but it was practic-magic. Months of their simple rave-dates and such made Orange a complete flirt with his so called best friend. And the day he was going to confess this, he was met by an estatic secondary.
That's when he found out that his raving partner, was now commited... to Kiro. If anything, this pissed him off the most. And when asked what his good news was, he simply stated he finally got fired from his pesky market job. After the Purple color left, Orange's so called friendly behavior turned rancid. But for the sake of his childhood friend, he was going to be nice. Not too long after he heard the news, he found an invitation to the wedding tucked into his mailbox. After about twenty minutes staring at Purple's handwriting, then to Kiro's... he simply chunked the paper in the wastebin and returned to his daily life. There was no way to hell he'd be at that wedding, and he didn't go. And since Gaz never asked, he never told. (What use is saying anything now?) And of course, he played the nice card still... ignoring the looks he got from Jaune when he was around Purple.
Sure, he never thought it would last more than a few months... but a few turned into several. And then that's when he got a dark plan... and the new color, Black was to help him. A week or so of planning became a reality when the actual idea worked. (It went with a few new perks, but hell, it worked!) Black had Gaz around her finger for awhile.. and then WHAMMO! Spectral Avenue was Drama Station. Fighting, arguements, and even some physical fights shown Destin his idea was a success. Lilth had torn up the perfection the Obsidians' had. Even the twins, who Orange adored, were in distress. His chance shown when Kiro came up missing. He was comforting, and helping out Gaz every chance he got. And between taking the children to the theater and helping Gaz in the garden.. he spotted the problem. Polar opposites are always the easiest to make friends with... and Purple was Destin's polar opposite. While Gaz was looking at him as a friend, Destin was staring passionwise.
Alas, this didn't last when Kiro came back one night. And not one day later, everything was back in place! Seeing this take place made his anger for the primary grow more. But he tolerated him to the point it made him sick, even after things were normal... he played the good guy. Lately so, he's to the breaking point with his... tolerence for that Primary. And the inu is more or less getting more hostile... even going to the part of making snooty comments to Kiro. Besides, he's already got on the twins good side to the point that Kaz goes everywhere with him. And Giro will actually speak freely to him. Perhaps through all the bad, he's managed to find a place that he knows both Gaz and Kiro have yet to find. (Besides that, he's probably going to pack up and vanish from the spectrum.)
